We're in the process of planning a trip to Amsterdam next weekend. We have 7 people committed and some other people have to tell us by noon tomorrow so we can look into flights/busses/trains. We get out of class at 12:30 on Friday so we're going leave as soon as possible after that and come back as late as possible on Sunday. We're meeting back up tonight to cook dinner and actually look into prices of transportation. There's an airline that has flights for about $30 round trip to select places so we have to see if Amsterdam is an option. A flight would take under an hour but a bus ride would be something like 7 hours. We would pretty much have Friday night, all of Saturday, and maybe a little of Sunday morning to spend there so I think it'll be enough time to see one city.

I finally found queso
Today I woke up at 8:45 to go to the weekly farmers market for the first time. That won't be happening again. There was such a small selection and it was much more expensive than the grocery stores. We had planned on cooking pancakes and stuff for breakfast/lunch so we ended up going to 4 different stores to finally find pancake mix. There was no syrup to be found. I was in charge of the muffins which I had to make in a large cereal bowl without a mixer. The batter ended up with chunks of egg but I didn't tell anyone and they ended up coming out good.

We have 2 more weekends after this one where we get out at 12:30 (after we'll get out at 4 until April) so we're also going to look into going somewhere else the next weekend. London was brought up and there's a flight there for $24, so that's a possibility. Since we only have weekends off right now we want to go to smaller cities. Places like Italy will have to wait until after the semester ends.
